Unbounded is how your horse is going to feel from the first time you put on this close-contact, therapeutic pad. Constantly adjusting to your horse"s back, this pad will allow your horse to be "calm, cool, and collected" under even the most extreme riding conditions. The Unbounded pads produce an ergonomically correct pad through a special combination of four different materials. 1) No need for "wear-plates" on this pad¦the entire top is made from heavy-duty, 1000-denier Cordura® material. The edges are bound together with strong nylon binding. Long-term resistances to any saddle parts rubbing on this pad. 2) The 3/8" layer of pressed fiber/hair felt to provide a firm barrier of protection between the saddle and horse. The special pressed felt will disperse any pinpoint pressure that a saddle may put on the horse while reducing the "saddle bounce" effect that you can get from some pads made strictly of foam. 3) The 5/8" thick open cell Ultra-Foam will absorb saddle shock and allow air to flow through the middle of pad. The open cell Ultra-Foam works constantly by using your horse's natural movements to "push" air under the saddle and over the horses back. 4) The 1/4" layer of Orthopedic "Absorb-Felt " bottom absorbs moisture and keeps the pad from chafing the horse. Absorb-Felt is ideal against the horse for its ability to hold in suspension up to four times its weight in moisture. Putting all the pieces together, the Unbounded pad uses the Absorb-Felt bottom to pull moisture away from your horse. Then the Ultra-Foam layer above it blows a drying and cooling breeze over the Absorb-Felt to reduce heat and moisture. To make sure that no moisture moves up onto your saddle and that no direct pressure moves down to your horse"s back, the pressed felt is added over the Ultra-Foam.
